The Media And Knowledge Sciences Association, MKSA, elected a new solid executive team for this term, following an Extraordinary General Meeting, EGM. The organisation’s presidential hopeful David Mallia stated that they are now a team of “7 energetic students ready to give their all in student activism … we will be an organisation that delivers to its students”.
Mallia went on by explaining that the organization, prior to this EGM, was on the decline. He stated that during last year’s AGM, they found it very hard to attract any new members to the organisation, a challenge which resulted in a very low exec turn-out. However, he proudly stated that despite the problems they were facing, they decided to keep going.
The presidential hopeful stated that he did not want to see the organisation, which had been brought back from dormancy two years ago, collapse. Even though two people later resigned from the organization, putting all the organisation’s weight on Mallia’s shoulders, he stated that he kept going. He described how in Freshers’ Week, he set up the stand regardless; and several students showed interest in the organization.
David Mallia thanked the faculty’s administration, the legal services at university and KSU for helping the organisation throughout this journey. “May this be a lesson to all organisations, large or small - to never give up and believe in the core values of the organisation” concluded Mallia.
The elected executive members of the organization are:
