The tunnel connecting University to Gzira, which has been closed since last July due to works in the Kappara junction, will be open by the end of next week, Pulse announced earlier on today. This means that carpark 10 and the field next to it, will be available for use, and access to the spots complex and Gzira from University will be open again.
John Luke Ellul, Pulse’s president, claimed that Pulse have been in touch with Ian Borg, Minister of transport and infrastructure, and have been pushing for the junction to be finished as soon as possible. The president furthered by saying that the tunnel has been upgraded, with better lighting and new traffic lights and tarmac. He also claimed that the opening of this tunnel will improve the parking situation at university, by making nearly 100 more parking spaces available for university students.
Upon questioning, Pulse have not yet confirmed they will be running against SDM for the upcoming KSU election, however, rumours have been running like wildfire and Lovin’ Malta have unofficially announced so.
