The Malta Law Students’ Society (GħSL) is teaming up with Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates in order to organise a local moot court. The winner will be given the opportunity to represent Malta and the University of Malta during the International Rounds of the JESSUP International Moot Court Competition on International Law. This will take place in Washington D.C. in April 2018 and the Maltese representative will be fully-funded. The 2018 edition of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition will be the 59th edition, hosting participants from 95 countries. The Case will simulate a fictional dispute between countries and teams will be asked to prepare both oral and written pleadings and argue both the applicant and respondent positions of the case. The local moot court will be held on the 10th of November at the Courts of Malta and will be administered by an expert in the field. GħSL thanks it’s sponsors Fenech and Fenech Advocates, Notary Spiteri Debono and Associates, Laferla Insurance and also Chetcuti Cauchi Advocated for funding this event.
