The Malta International Organ Festival is one of Malta’s largest events during this time of year for those who love art and classical music. The festival brings together world famous musicians in Malta together with the best music written for the organ.
17 concerts will be held between the 19th November and the 9th December, in some of the Cathedrals, basilicas and churches across the Maltese islands. These locations display some of the most precious architecture and artistic heritage found across the islands. The small cities, towns and villages today make part of the historical centre of our archipelago’s landscape, and many of them are going to be the venue for this year’s festival.
The programme will start off with a performance by the skilful organist and conductor Wayne Marshall on the organ together with the talented baritone Joseph Lia.
Most of the concerts are free of charge, but a number of them are against a payment. More information can be found on the Malta International Organ Festival’s Facebook page.
